Theater Program

Our junior theatre program (JTP) is designed to provide students, ages 6-18, with the ultimate theatre experience. New students will be exposed to the art of theatre and the production process while experienced performers will be able to advance and build on their existing skills. While we strive to offer workshops year-round, the JTP will give performers the opportunity to work on a full production with the end goal of performing in front of an audience.

How does it work?

Each season ASH will select a junior production that will be performed at the end of the program. Students interested in the program will audition so their current skill levels can be assessed. The ASH team will cast students in selected roles that will help them develop and advance their skills in the performing arts.

What is included in the program?
  • An actor's script which can be kept as a souvenir

  • A cast t-shirt (specific to the production)

  • Discounts on workshops

  • Performance in a state of the art theatre in Manayunk

  • Costumes - while students cannot keep their costumes, we provide most of the materials. You are responsible for the base of the costume (ex: leotard, shorts, plain t-shirt, shoes)

  • Hair & Makeup - each performer has their own station with their own supplies

  • Cast party following the end of the run
